The meeting took place in the School of Science of the Universidad de la República in Montevideo, Uruguay. It was the frist assembly of all members of Biodiversidata and setted the landmark of the creation of the association.
Participants agreed this was a fundamental instance to understand the relevance of the initiative, discuss about the urgency of data openness in science in Uruguay, find out about the aims of the new association and prioritize the future agenda of the organization.
The possibility of a face-to-face meeting allowed us to get to know each other and discuss in confidence the aspects that brought us together.
